Mehrinigor Ahmedova, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Bukhara State University, visited India from November 25 to December 1 through the Gen Next Democracy program. The Gen Next Democracy program, organized by the Indian Consul for Cultural Relations, aims to increase the political knowledge of young people from 8 countries of four continents (Sweden, Poland, Tanzania, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Uzbekistan and Malaysia). The program introduces Indian culture, building a democratic society, parliamentary structure.
The delegation members met with young members of the Indian Parliament, attended a youth conference on the legal system, learned about Indian culture, politics, and its successful efforts to build a democratic society through various interesting lessons. As part of the project, M.Ahmedova met with the rector of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute and discussed issues of cooperation with Bukhara State University. She gave a lecture on “Spirituality concept in English and Uzbek languages: understanding and approaches” at the University of Delhi, which ranked 801-1000 among the Top-1000 universities in THE rankings-2021.
It is planned to carry out practical work with professors of Delhi University on the issue of providing grants to students of Bukhara State University. Within the framework of the project, trips were organized to Delhi, Agra, Gujarat, Ahmadabad, Varoda states and cities of India to get acquainted with the economic power, development of science, education and culture. As a practical result of the project, it is planned to organize a workshop on "The role of teachers in creating a democratic society."
